EMPHASIS IN FRENCH, GERMAN OR SPANISH

Qualified language teachers are in high demand. The 内布拉斯加大学 at Kearney offers Subject Endorsements (7-12 grade) in French, 德语和西班牙语. Our faculty work with future teachers to help them acquire a high level of proficiency in their chosen language and to equip them with methods and management strategies for the second-language classroom.

教师教育计划

All students intent on teaching must be admitted into the 教师教育计划. To do so, students must fulfill the following requirements:

• Complete 102年英格, SPCH 100, TE 100 and TE 204 with a “C” or better
• 建立和维护2.75 GPA或以上
• Complete the Praxis core academic skills tests for educators: they are required for certification in Nebraska, and are part of all undergraduate education programs at bet36365体育. The Praxis Subject Assessments are also required for certification in Nebraska.
• Complete the TE courses required in the Professional TE sequence (integrated in the four-year schedule)
• Obtain approval by the department offering the proposed endorsement
• Declare a teaching program at the 学术顾问 and 职业发展 office
